John DillingerÕs relatives owned some land in nearby Cumberland according to one local historian, Brigette Cook Jones, Hancock County Historical Society Board Member. She found a nugget of information about the Dillinger family, his maternal grandparents, during a recent search for local history showing they lived in nearby Cumberland helping prove Dillinger has Hancock County roots.(Tom Russo | Daily Reporter)
